These Service & Repair Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between SENGIX LLC, a New York limited liability company, including its registered trade names and doing-business-as (DBA) names (collectively, “SENGIX”), and the individual or entity requesting services (the “Client” or “Customer”). By scheduling service, approving an estimate, authorizing work to begin, or making payment, the Client acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by these Terms.

For purposes of these Terms: “SENGIX,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to SENGIX LLC and its registered trade names (DBA). “Client” or “Customer” refers to the individual or entity requesting services. These Terms apply to all services provided by SENGIX, whether requested through the website, mobile applications, third-party platforms, telephone, email, social media, or in person.

By scheduling service, approving an estimate, authorizing work to begin, or making payment, the Client represents and warrants that they are the property owner or have full authority from the property owner or responsible party to approve repairs and incur related charges.

The Client agrees to provide accurate contact, billing, and service location information.

SENGIX reserves the right to refuse or suspend service if proper authorization cannot be verified.

Residential diagnostic service starts at $99 per appliance.

Commercial diagnostic service starts at $199 per unit.

For Residential service, each additional appliance diagnosed during the same visit will incur an Additional Appliance Diagnostic Fee of $99 per appliance.

For Commercial service, each additional unit diagnosed during the same visit will incur an Additional Appliance Diagnostic Fee of $99 per unit.

If a second technician is required due to equipment size, complexity, safety requirements, or access limitations, an additional $99, plus applicable taxes, will be charged.

All fees, surcharges, and service-related charges are subject to applicable state and local taxes.

Service call fees are non-refundable.

Service call includes a thorough examination of the reported issue, which may include:

  • Technician dispatch to the service location
  • On-site equipment diagnostics
  • Inspection of mechanical and electrical components
  • Identification of the apparent cause of failure
  • Written diagnostic findings, which may include photo or video documentation
  • Repair recommendations and cost estimate
  • Spare parts research, if required

If the Client proceeds with the recommended repair, the service call fee will be applied toward the total repair cost.

Repair may be completed during the same visit, if feasible and upon Client approval.

Service call does not include the cost of parts, additional labor beyond diagnostics, or further services unless separately approved.

An Emergency Service Surcharge of $100 may apply for urgent or priority service requests. The Client will be notified in advance if such surcharge applies.

Additional charges may apply for after-hours service, weekend service, or service performed on recognized holidays. Any such charges will be disclosed to the Client prior to scheduling or dispatch.

Parking fees, tolls, congestion pricing charges, or building access fees (if applicable) will be disclosed and added to the invoice where required.

Service call pricing may vary in certain cases due to promotional offers, marketing campaigns, third-party platforms, referral programs, or special agreements. The applicable service rate will be confirmed with the Client prior to scheduling.

SENGIX may require a deposit prior to ordering parts, scheduling major repairs, or performing certain services.

Deposits are non-refundable once parts have been ordered or work has commenced.

Special order parts, manufacturer-specific components, custom-fabricated items, and commercial equipment parts are non-refundable.

In cases where return of a special order part is approved by management, a 35% restocking fee will apply.

Ownership of all installed parts, materials, and components remains with SENGIX until full payment of the invoice is received.

SENGIX reserves the right to remove installed parts or suspend completion of work in the event of non-payment, where permitted by law.

If parts are ordered and the Client cancels service after the order has been placed, the Client remains financially responsible for the full cost of such parts, subject to the restocking policy stated above.

If equipment must be removed for repair and is not claimed within thirty (30) days after notice of completion, SENGIX reserves the right to charge reasonable storage fees or dispose of unclaimed equipment in accordance with applicable law after reasonable notice to the Client.

Return of Replaced Parts (NYC Compliance)
In accordance with NYC Administrative Code § 20-417, SENGIX will offer to return all replaced parts to the Client at the time of service, except for parts required for manufacturer warranty return or core exchange.

By approving the estimate, authorizing the repair, or making payment, the Client acknowledges that such offer has been made. Unless the Client requests return of replaced parts at the time of service, the Client authorizes SENGIX to dispose of such parts.

Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least three (3) hours prior to the scheduled service window by speaking directly with a live SENGIX representative.

Failure to provide proper notice, failure to provide access to the premises, or refusal of entry by building management will result in a $99 service charge, plus applicable taxes, to cover technician dispatch and lost scheduling time.

The Client is responsible for ensuring that:

  • The technician has safe and unobstructed access to the equipment
  • Required building permissions, COI documentation, or management approvals are obtained prior to arrival
  • Utilities (electricity, gas, water) are operational and available for diagnostic testing

If equipment is built-in, stacked, sealed, obstructed, or otherwise inaccessible, the Client is responsible for preparing the area prior to service.

SENGIX is not responsible for delays caused by building management restrictions, security procedures, elevator limitations, or denied access.

SENGIX reserves the right to refuse or suspend service if unsafe or unsanitary conditions are present, including but not limited to hazardous wiring, gas leaks, flooding, mold exposure, structural instability, excessive contamination, biohazards, insect infestation (including roaches), rodent infestation (including rats or mice), or any condition posing risk to personnel health or safety.

SENGIX provides warranty only on parts repaired or replaced by SENGIX and only for the duration stated on the invoice.
Warranty applies solely to the specific component repaired or replaced and does not extend to the entire appliance or system.

Warranty does not cover:

  • Pre-existing conditions
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Manufacturer defects unrelated to the replaced part
  • Electrical surges or power fluctuations
  • Water damage
  • Improper installation or prior repairs performed by others
  • System contamination
  • Refrigerant leaks not repaired by SENGIX
  • Commercial misuse or abuse
  • Failure to maintain equipment

All diagnostic findings represent the technician’s professional assessment based on observable conditions at the time of service. SENGIX does not guarantee that additional hidden defects or future failures will not occur.

For sealed system, refrigeration, or HVAC repairs, full system performance cannot be guaranteed unless the underlying cause of failure, including any refrigerant leak, is located and properly repaired.

For HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial or residential cooling systems, warranty coverage is contingent upon proper system maintenance. Warranty may be voided if the system is not maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations.

Warranty coverage remains valid when the Client schedules and performs regular preventative maintenance services through SENGIX, or provides documented proof of equivalent maintenance performed by a qualified service provider.

Warranty coverage is void if the repaired or replaced component is altered, modified, adjusted, or serviced by any third party without prior written authorization from SENGIX. Any unauthorized repair attempts, tampering, system modifications, or replacement of parts related to the warranted repair will immediately void warranty coverage for the affected components.

SENGIX shall not be responsible for damage to floors, cabinetry, countertops, drywall, or surrounding surfaces resulting from necessary movement, removal, or repositioning of equipment required to perform the service, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Removal of existing equipment may expose concealed conditions, pre-existing damage, structural inconsistencies, or code deficiencies for which SENGIX shall not be responsible.

SENGIX shall not be responsible for cosmetic or structural conditions revealed during installation or removal of equipment, including exposed openings in drywall, stucco damage, pre-existing cracks, or inconsistencies with existing construction.

Patching, painting, drywall repair, wall restoration, wall chasing, or cosmetic finishing work are not included unless expressly stated in writing and may be quoted separately.

SENGIX is not responsible for:

  • Food spoilage
  • Loss of revenue
  • Business interruption
  • Property damage except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct
  • Incidental, indirect, or consequential damages

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SENGIX’s total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

Warranty is non-transferable. Warranty service, including evaluation of warranty claims, is available only for accounts in good standing. SENGIX reserves the right to decline or postpone processing of warranty-related service requests if any outstanding balance remains unpaid. Warranty service may resume once all past-due amounts have been paid in full. This condition applies solely to SENGIX-provided warranties and does not affect any separate manufacturer warranties.

Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Any balance not paid within fourteen (14) days of the invoice date will incur a finance charge of 1.5% per month (18% annually) or a minimum late charge of $150, whichever is greater; provided, however, that such charges shall not exceed the maximum amount permitted by applicable law. If applicable law limits the amount of late charges or finance charges, such charges shall automatically be reduced to the maximum amount permitted.

In the event of non-payment, returned payment, declined transaction, or chargeback, the Client remains responsible for the full amount owed, including any applicable finance charges, administrative costs, and processing fees, including chargeback investigation fees imposed by payment processors.

Credit card payments are subject to a 2.4% convenience fee, which will be added to the total invoice amount.

SENGIX reserves the right to suspend ongoing work, withhold reports, delay completion, or decline future service in the event of any outstanding balances.

Unpaid balances may be referred to a third-party collection agency or assigned to a collections firm. The Client expressly authorizes SENGIX to disclose necessary account information, including contact details, service records, invoices, and payment history, for the purpose of debt collection.

The Client agrees to be responsible for reasonable collection costs, including attorney’s fees, court costs, administrative expenses, and collection-related charges to the extent permitted by law.

SENGIX reserves all legal remedies available in the event of non-payment, including rights under applicable lien laws, and may file a mechanic’s lien or similar claim against the property for unpaid labor, services, materials, or equipment, where permitted by law.

Payment instructions, including ACH or wire transfer details, may be provided only through SENGIX’s official communication channels, including invoices issued through authorized billing platforms used by SENGIX (such as Workiz or Stripe), direct email communications sent from an official @sengix.com email address, or written documentation provided directly by SENGIX.

Clients may verify payment instructions by contacting SENGIX using the official phone number listed on the SENGIX website. However, SENGIX will not provide new or revised payment instructions solely by telephone.

SENGIX is not responsible for payments made to unauthorized, altered, intercepted, or fraudulent payment instructions.

If the Client has any outstanding balance from prior services, SENGIX reserves the right to suspend, delay, or refuse new or ongoing services until all past-due amounts are paid in full.

SENGIX may require full or partial prepayment for new services where prior balances remain unpaid or where payment history presents elevated financial risk.

These Service & Repair Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state in which the services are performed, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to services performed by SENGIX shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in the state where the services were performed, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Nothing in this section shall prevent either party from filing a claim in small claims court where jurisdiction and claim limits allow.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Client knowingly and voluntarily waives any right to a trial by jury in connection with any dispute arising from services provided by SENGIX.

Estimates provided by SENGIX are based on observable conditions at the time of inspection and on information provided by the Client.

Unless otherwise stated in writing within the estimate, all estimates are valid for ten (10) calendar days from the date of issuance.

Estimates are not guarantees of final cost. Hidden defects, unforeseen conditions, additional labor, or additional parts may require revision of the estimate.

The Client will be notified and must approve any additional charges prior to proceeding with work beyond the original estimate.

Pricing may be subject to change due to supplier price adjustments, part availability, market conditions, or expiration of the estimate validity period.

Approval of an estimate constitutes authorization to perform the described work and agreement to these Service & Repair Terms & Conditions.

If any provision of these Service & Repair Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Services are provided in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

In New York City, clients have the right to request a written estimate for repairs. Final charges (excluding tax) will not exceed the written estimate by more than 20% without prior client approval, in accordance with NYC Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) rules.

SENGIX holds required registrations and licenses where applicable, including:

NYC DCWP Electronic & Home Appliance Service Dealer License No. 2116992-DCWP.

For refrigerant-related services, technicians maintain required EPA Section 608 universal certification.

All warranties, limitations of liability, and service terms remain subject to applicable consumer protection laws.

This Agreement, along with the SENGIX Privacy Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between the parties. It is mutually agreed that these Terms and Conditions and all related documents shall be written and interpreted in English. The Client acknowledges that they have read and understood these terms in English, or have had them translated at their own discretion.
